As the species whose intellect and appearance was most akin to the ancient gods, Tian choose to use humans as the seed for a new generation of gods. By removing the souls of human children and inserting the Transcendent Vigor of the ancient gods into those children, Tian created a new generation of the gods. Tian and his new generation of gods ruled over humans, so the humans would gather enough bloodstones to revive Tian's wife Bai Long.
